Bedwas RFC’s youth team has been relaunched

Bedwas RFC has relaunched its youth team ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Training begins on Tuesday July 1, with the aim of giving young players a route into senior rugby.

Steve Laws, the club’s rugby director, said: “When I got back involved with Bedwas it was a priority of mine to get the youth team back up and running.

“This provides an opportunity for young players to develop within the club. We’ve got an experienced coaching team ready to go, and we’re building something special for young talent.”

He continued: “The coaches are an experienced group and are good rugby people who I have worked with throughout my playing and coaching career.

“This is about more than just getting a team on the park – it’s about development, culture, and creating opportunities.”
