Caerphilly RFC celebrating their Division 2 East Central title win last season

Men’s rugby union sides across Caerphilly County Borough are gearing up for the new season to begin on September 6.

There will be nearly 300 teams from all four corners of Wales taking part in just shy of 30 different leagues this upcoming season.

So what leagues will sides from Caerphilly County Borough be competing in?

While no borough sides will be competing in the top tier – Super Rygbi Cymru – this upcoming campaign, Bargoed, Cross Keys and Newbridge will playing one division below.

Meanwhile, Bedwas, Penallta, and Ynysddu will be playing in the National Championship East – the third tier of Welsh club rugby.
