Four borough teams learn opponents as Welsh Cup first round draw made

Treowen Stars celebrating their title win and promotion last season

Cymru South side Treowen Stars will travel to Newport to face Pill in the first round of the Welsh Cup.

The draw, which involved four teams from Caerphilly County Borough, was made on Thursday August 28.

Ardal South East side Caerphilly Athletic have been handed a home tie against Caldicot Town, while Abercarn United – who are also in the Ardal South East – will host Pure Swansea.

Gwent Division One outfit Pentwynmawr Athletic, who defeated Nelson Cavaliers to reach the first round, face a tough trip to the Cynon Valley to take on Penrhiwceiber Rangers.

All fixtures will be played on the between Friday September 19 and Sunday September 21.
