An amateur five-a-side football team is celebrating its 34th anniversary with a special reunion.
The team, called Inter Milads, was established in 1977 and while the original line-up are no longer playing, they still boast a veteran of 30 years in the form of Martin Jones.
Mr Jones, 55, who works at Ystrad Mynach College and who started playing for the team in 1980, said: “Inter Milads started playing in the Hengoed community centre in 1977 and moved to Ystrad Mynach sports centre sometime in 1978.
“A few of us started playing in 1980 when some players dropped out and over the past 34 years, in excess of 100 different boys have turned out on a Friday night.
“The boys still take the games very seriously, even though our average age is now over 50. Our most experienced player is 57 next birthday.”
Chris Doherty, a current team member, is one of the organisers of the Intermilads reunion planned for January 28.
He said: “We are holding a reunion for all those who have played five-a-side with us over the years.
“It will be held in the Caerphilly Conservative Club and we would love to see any of the old Inter Milads there.”
