Senghenydd Sirens RFC, the club’s womens team, have clinched the WRU Super Cup with a 12-10 victory over Porth Quins.
The Sirens lifted the cup after tries from Hollie Dempsey and Keighlee Williams proved enough to hold off the Quins’ challenge, as Sarah Harper added the conversions.
The Sirens also managed a respectable third-placed finish in Division 2 in 2015/16, as they completed just their second league season.
The Senghenydd side completed just seven matches due to adverse weather.
