Caerphilly Rugby Club are flying high in both league and Bowl competitions, but their under-8s side also hit the big time, winning the opportunity to train with professionals in the capital.

Tool and equipment hire company HSS Hire sponsor Cardiff Blues, and offered one lucky rugby team the chance to win a training session at the region’s stadium – BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park – and get up close and personal with the players.

Caerphilly’s under-8s won the much-coveted opportunity after sharing a team photo on HSS’ social media channels which received more than 1,500 votes.

Rhian Lundrigan, Caerphilly under-8s manager, said: “What a fantastic evening the team had at the BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park – an experience they will never forget.

“I have to thank HSS Hire for giving us the opportunity and also the Cardiff Blues, who took the time out to inspire the guys and even hang around for some photos afterwards.”
