Blackwood’s annual beach party returns this month

Blackwood High Street is set to be transformed into an urban beach party once again this month as the town’s annual Beach Party returns.

A brand new summer music festival is coming to Bargoed this July, along with funfair rides and food and drink stalls.

A free to enter fun-packed festival will take over the Owain Glyndwr Playing Fields on Crescent Road, Caerphilly, next month.

Events across Caerphilly County Borough over the past year have brought in more than a quarter of a million attendees, according to council figures.

The event, which is being held on Saturday May 11, promises a ‘serious’ challenge for walkers, joggers, and runners of all abilities.

The Böbingen Wind Band, from the German city of Augsburg, are performing at Aber Valley Male Voice Choir’s Ty Hafan fundraising concert.

The celebration event is being held on Tuesday November 7 and will include performances from groups from across the country.

Bedwas Workmen’s Hall, which is celebrating its centenary this year, is running EcoFest – a week-long event from October 28 to November 5.

The Siloh Community Hall on Oakfield Street in Ystrad Mynach will host a Christmas craft and gift fair on October 21.

Blackwood Miners’ Institute will be transported back in time to the 1970s as Disco Inferno hits the venue on Saturday November 11.
