The body of a woman has been found in the Ebbw River near Abercarn industrial estate.
Gwent Police were called at 8.50am this morning (Monday, January 14) after the body was found.
Police are not treating the death as suspicious and are searching for the woman’s family.
A Gwent Police spokesperson said: “We had a call at about 8.50am reporting that a body had been found in the river. The body of a female has been recovered. The death is not being treated as suspicious.”
