More than 400 children from 16 schools have come together once again for Caerphilly County Borough Council’s annual Disability Six Nations.

The rugby event was held at the Centre for Sporting Excellence in Ystrad Mynach on Thursday March 12.

Each school represented one of the Six Nations teams and took part in a range of disability-adapted rugby activities throughout the day.

Caerphilly County Borough Council organised the event alongside Dragons RFC, Dragons Community, the Welsh Rugby Union, and Bargoed RFC.

Dragons Community will gift 60 match tickets to the school that showed the most engagement in representing their allocated country.

Councillor Chris Morgan, cabinet member for leisure, said: “It was fantastic to see so many young people representing their schools and countries. Events like this help create inclusive, accessible opportunities for children to enjoy sport and be active.”
