Police have confirmed that a 50-year-old woman who had been recalled to prison is now in custody.

Colleen Jones, from Rhymney, was released from prison on licence in March, having been serving an 18-month sentence for her involvement in the supply of drugs.

However, in a statement on May 4, Gwent Police said Jones had breached the conditions of her release from prison.

She was sentenced at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court in July last year, and was released with ten months of her sentence remaining.

But Gwent Police confirmed on May 5 that Jones had been “located and returned to custody”.
