Residents will be able to go into a library and browse through books on the shelves from next week, providing they book in advance.

Since May 4, libraries have been open for residents wanting to use computers, photocopiers, printers and wifi.

But from May 17, residents will be able to do more at libraries in Bargoed, Blackwood, Caerphilly, Newbridge, Rhymney, Risca and Ystrad Mynach, Caerphilly County Borough Council has confirmed.

However, there will still be limits on the number of people allowed into the library at any one time, with residents having to pre-book 20-minute appointments.

To book an appointment, residents can call the library they want to visit or send them an email.
