Three men were arrested following a car crash that saw a large section of the A468 in Bedwas closed.

The A468 between the Bridge End Inn and Bryn y Fran Avenue closed for nearly 11 hours after the crash, which happened at around 4.15am on Saturday, October 16.

Access to Pant Glas Industrial Estate was cut off while the road was closed.

The road was reopened at 3.10pm on Saturday.

The three men have since been released under investigation, Gwent Police confirmed.

A woman was taken to hospital for treatment following the crash, which involved one car. Nobody suffered life-threatening injuries.
