Two members of a Crumlin-based gymnastics academy have been nominated for the British Gymnastics National Awards.
Coach Jaz McLellan is up for the Equality and Inclusion award, while Ava Tunley has been shortlisted for the Young Leader award, which recognises gymnasts aged between 11 and 18 who have volunteered within the sport.

It comes off the back of a successful few years for the club, which saw it crowned National Club of the Year in 2020 – a first for a Welsh club.
It was the fourth time in five years the club had been nominated for the honour.
2020 also saw the club win the Equality and Conclusion Award. However, it was the last time the awards were held, having been cancelled in 2021 due to Covid.
This year’s awards ceremony was meant to be held in Telford on January 29, but this too was cancelled due to the uncertainty surrounding the Omicron variant. Instead, the awards will be announced on social media each day between January 29 and February 4.
Last year, the club’s founder and coach, Melissa Anderson, was one of 25 coaches to be crowned a winner at the UK Coaching Hero Awards.
