A total of three men have been arrested following an armed robbery on Trecenydd Business Park in September, Gwent Police has confirmed.

A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery on September 22 and was released under investigation.

Since then, a 28-year-old man and a 23-year-old man, both from the Manchester area, have also been arrested. They have both been released under investigation.

What happened?

Police were called to the business park at around 10.40am on Thursday, September 22 and attended alongside the National Police Air Service and firearms officers as a precaution.

The incident happened at Rogers Estates Coffee, with three men entering the property armed with knives.

No injuries were reported and nothing appears to have been stolen, police said.

Calvin Rowe, managing director of the company, confirmed to Caerphilly Observer at the time that no-one was injured but did not want to comment further.

Police also knocked on doors in Brookside Close, near Hendredenny, in relation to the incident. Residents living there told Caerphilly Observer that a van involved in the robbery had been abandoned in the street.
