Residents across Caerphilly County Borough paid their respects on Remembrance Sunday to those who have died in conflict.

Services were held at cenotaphs and memorials in towns and villages across the borough, with wreaths laid.

In Caerphilly town, the annual parade took place through the town centre and down to the Cenotaph at the Twyn.

Local politicians, dignitaries and representatives from the Royal British Legion and other groups laid wreaths.

I joined members from our armed forces & the communities of #Newbridge & #Pontllanfraith in services of remembrance for those who have died protecting our freedoms. I was proud to stand alongside @Chris_EvansMP & Councillors as we paid tribute. #LestWeForget #WeWillRememberThem pic.twitter.com/uLMnz3MBzT

Pleased to attend two Remembrance Services today: Ystrad Mynach in the morning and Caerphilly in the afternoon. They were well attended with a large number of wreaths at both. @PoppyLegion @hef4caerphilly @GwentPCC pic.twitter.com/09r7wrcH2z

I laid a wreath this afternoon at Caerphilly Cenotaph during the annual service of Remembrance alongside @PeredurPlaidAS. This year as in every other, our hearts pray for peace and an end to conflict and suffering. Diolch i'r trefnwyr ac i bawb ddaeth mas. #Cofio #Peace pic.twitter.com/LM2HOyzpVj
