Woman robbed at knifepoint in Blackwood

A woman had her purse stolen after she was robbed at knifepoint in Blackwood.

Gwent Police is investigating the attack and has appealed for witnesses or people with dashcam footage to come forward.

The robbery happened in Cefn Road, Blackwood, at around 6.45pm on Thursday, November 24.

The woman reportedly was approached by a man who demanded money from her while brandishing a knife.

The victim was unharmed, and her purse was taken.

In a statemetn Gwent Police said: “Officers would now like to speak to this man, who was reportedly in the area at the time and may be able to help their enquiries.

“We’re also asking anyone with information, including CCTV or dashcam footage from the area – particularly Cefn Road, Hight Street, Morrison Street and Attlee Road – between 6pm and 8pm on Thursday November 24, to contact us.
