The woodcraft session will take place at Markham Congregational Church

Children in Markham are invited to come and make their own Christmas trees at a woodworking workshop this December.

Salvaged Creations Wales, a community interest company (CIC) based in Argoed, is holding the £5 woodcraft session in Markham Congregational Church on December 9, where people can come and get in the festive spirit and make a Christmas tree out of recycled materials.

Salvaged Creations Wales, I-Make, CIC, run regular woodworking groups for adults and children where the aim is to encourage people to come along, use tools, get creative and use materials that would otherwise end up in the landfill.

The CIC also run a youth group, play days and a parent-and-baby group. More information can be found on their website.

The workshop is in Markham Congregational Church and runs from 4.30pm to 6pm. Booking in advance is required as materials will need to be arranged. Children require adult permission to participate.
