The Farmers Arms in Rhymney

A Rhymney pub is offering free takeaway Christmas dinners to those who are struggling.

The Farmers Arms in Rhymney has offered to supply food on Christmas Day for those who are struggling.

Sarah from the Farmers Arms took to Facebook to write: “Helping others is in my nature and I would love to help on Sunday the 25th.

“My inbox is open to a family who is struggling this year I am able and willing to provide you with takeaway dinners to make sure you have on Christmas day.

“We have all struggled from time to time and [it’s] nothing to be ashamed of.

“Please feel free to message us on here and we will be honoured to help,” said Sarah, referring to their page on Facebook.

According to research completed by the Salvation Army in October, nearly a third of people are worrying about being able to afford Christmas dinner this year.

People are already showing their gratitude for the gesture online, with some commenting: “It’s a pity there’s not more people like you Sarah, the world would be a much nicer place.”

Those who are interested can get in touch with the Farmers Arms on Facebook.
