Three ponies have been rescued from Gelligaer Common after concerns for their welfare.
The ponies were rescued on Tuesday morning by officers from RSPCA Cymru, working alongside Caerphilly County Borough Council and welfare groups Redwings, World Horse Welfare and the British Horse Society.
RSPCA Cymru has now appealed for information to track down the ponies’ owners.

The rescued animals included a skewbald mare, a skewbald yearling filly and a chestnut colt foal, who were rescued on veterinary advice, the RSPCA said.
The charity confirmed none of the ponies were microchipped.
RSPCA inspector Suzi Smith said: “Anyone with information can contact the RSPCA inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018.
“The ponies are now in a place of safety and are receiving treatment.”
She added: “We’re very grateful for the support from the local authority and a number of equine charities – and this operation is another prime example of our strong partnership working, and what we can achieve together for animal welfare.”
