Pontllanfraith Rotary Club is holding its annual St David’s Day concert at Rhiw Syr Dafydd Primary

Pontllanfraith Rotary Club will be holding its annual St David’s Day concert in Oakdale.

The concert, which will be held from 7pm on Wednesday March 1, will take place at Rhiw Syr Dafydd Primary School.

The Cwmbran Tenovus Sing with Us Choir, which is celebrating its 80th year, will be performing on the night, as will baritone John Rhys Liddington and harpist Bethan Watson.

Entry will be free of charge, but no refreshments will be available.

For tickets, contact 01495 225520 or speak with a member of Pontllanfraith Rotary Club.

The rotary club was active over the Christmas period, raising money to help local charities and food banks.

The club said: “President David Curtis and members of the Rotary Club of Pontllanfraith would like to thank all members of the local community in the old Islwyn areas for their support with the Christmas Sleigh as it toured around the local villages in the first two weeks of December.

“This generous support has enabled the club to help local charities and food banks. Thank you all again.”
