Boy, 2, stable after car collision in Pontllanfraith

A boy, 2, who was injured in a collision is now in a stable condition

A two-year-old boy who sustained potentially-life changing injuries after being hit by a car in Pontllanfraith on May 9 is now in a stable condition, according to Gwent Police.

The collision on Bryn Road also saw a 29-year-old man suffer minor injuries.

Gwent Police have since confirmed that the boy’s injuries are no longer considered life-threatening and that he is now stable.

No arrests have been made.

In a statement on May 9, Gwent Police said: “We received a report of a road traffic collision in Bryn Road, Pontllanfraith at around 10.10 am on Tuesday, May 9.

“Officers attended along with paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service and the Welsh Air Ambulance.

“The collision involved a car and two pedestrians.”
