Gerwyn Price will take on Lukasz Waclawski in the opening round of the Polish Darts Masters in Warsaw this weekend.
Recent World Cup champion Price, from Markham, faces off against the Pole, who is making his television debut, on Friday July 7.
Waclawski came through a 175-player field in last weekend’s Polish qualifier to confirm his place at the competition.
If Price can overcome Waclawski, he will take on either Nathan Aspinall or Croatia’s Boris Krcmar in the quarter-finals.
The two-day tournament, which includes 16 players, concludes on Saturday July 8 – with £60,000 prize money up for grabs.
The event sees eight PDC stars take on eight players from eastern Europe.
It is the inaugural World Series of Darts event in the Polish capital, and will be televised on ITV4.
