Ystrad Mynach boxer Lauren Price MBE will return to the ring on September 2.
The British welterweight champion’s opponent is yet to be confirmed, with the fight being held in Manchester’s AO Arena as the undercard for the Liam Smith v Chris Eubank Jr rematch.
It will be Price’s first fight since May, when she defeated Kirstie Bavington in a unanimous points victory to become British champion.
Since signing a pro deal with BOXXER last year, Olympic gold medallist Price, 29, has won all four of her bouts.
Recently-crowned welterweight champion Natasha Jonas has been touted as a potential opponent for Price.
Ben Shalom, CEO of BOXXER, said: “The achievements of Lauren Price MBE speak for themselves.
“She’s an elite competitor and while some people might think it’s early for her to be talking about professional titles, she’s a world-class talent and she sees no point in waiting around. She will be looking to make a statement in Manchester and I’m sure Natasha Jonas will be watching closely.”
