Man stable in hospital after Caerphilly stabbing

A 27-year-old man has been released on bail

A 27-year-old man has been released on police bail after a 32-year-old man was taken to hospital with stab wounds.

The incident happened on Coed Pwll, Porset Park, Caerphilly, at around 8.50pm on Saturday September 2.

Gwent Police officers attended along with specially trained firearms officers as a precaution. Welsh Ambulance Service personnel also attended. 

The 32-year-old, who is from the Cwmbran area, is in a stable condition in hospital, police have said.

Detective Inspector Robin Fuller, of Gwent Police, said: “Officers will be making further enquiries at this time and will remain at the scene as the investigation progresses.

“It is possible that you may see ongoing police activity in Caerphilly as part of this work. If you have concerns or information then please do stop and talk with us.
