Wales U16s celebrating their Four Nations victory after beating England

Six Aber Valley Wolves youngster starred as Wales beat England to become the first-ever U16s Four Nations champions in rugby league.

Wales ran out 38-18 winners against England in Leigh, Greater Manchester, over the weekend.

It followed wins over both Scotland and Ireland earlier this year, with unbeaten Wales topping the championship standings.

Henry Parker, who plays for Aber Valley Wolves, scored a try and five goals to contribute 14 of Wales’ points against England.

Parker was joined in the starting 13 by Wolves teammates Morgan Marozzelli, Kai Sengul, Finlay Walker, and try-scorer Joseph Johnson.

Wolves’ Ryan Jones was on the bench.

Following the victory, coach Paul Berry said: “The lads deserved the win today and I think we’ve been the most consistent team all year in the competition.

“The performances we’ve had have been building for a period of time, leading to a winner takes all game today.

“The collective effort over the last few months has really paid dividends.”
