Gerwyn Price will be aiming to win his first-ever Players Championship Finals title this weekend.
Price, from Markham, enters the competition as top seed – and will face world number 52 Ricky Evans in his opening match of the 64-player tournament on Friday November 24.
Price goes into the tournament having won six ranking titles so far this year – more than any other player.
The competition will conclude with the final on Sunday November 26, with the winner claiming the £120,000 top prize.
Standing in Price’s way could be Dutchman Michael van Gerwen, who will be looking for a record-extending eighth title at the event, which is being held at Butlin’s in Minehead.
