Gerwyn Price suffered a second round defeat at the Players Championship Finals in Minehead over the weekend.
Price, from Markham, entered the competition as top seed and beat Ricky Evans in the opening round on Friday November 24.
However, the Iceman was unable to get past Belgium’s Kim Huybrechts on Saturday, falling to a heavy 6-1 loss.
The competition was eventually won by in-form Luke Humphries, who beat Dutchman Michael van Gerwen to win his third consecutive televised title and scoop the £120,000 top prize.
