Markham’s Gerwyn Price will join the likes of newly-crowned world champion Luke Humphries and teenage sensation Luke Littler in this year’s Premier League Darts.
Price, from Markham, is among the eight players competing in the competition, which gets underway at Cardiff’s Utilita Arena on February 1.
The Iceman will be looking to go one step further than last year, when he was beaten in the final by Michael van Gerwen, who is involved again in 2024.
Also taking part are former world champions Michael Smith, Rob Cross, and Peter Wright, with Nathan Aspinall completing the line-up.
The Premier League consists of 16 mini-events held across different cities throughout the season, with each league night comprising quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final over the best of 11 legs.
Points will be awarded each night to form the league table, from which the top four players will progress to the play-offs, which will be held at the O2 in London on Thursday May 23.
