South Wales Police have found a man’s body in a woodland in the Litchard area of Bridgend, when searching for 43-year-old Leon Shaw, who has been missing since Christmas Eve.

Mr Shaw was last seen near Sycamore Close, Litchard, Bridgend, at around 4.15pm on Sunday December 24.

The force has said formal identification has yet to take place, but Mr Shaw’s family have been informed of developments.

An investigation into the circumstances of his death will now take place.
