Markham’s Gerwyn Price was knocked out at the semi-final stage of the Dutch Darts Masters over the weekend, losing to teenager Luke Littler.
Price knocked out Belgian Dimitri Van den Bergh in the opening round before seeing off Dutchman Kevin Doets in the quarter-finals.
But the Iceman met his match in the semi-finals, losing 7-4 to 17-year-old Littler. It was the second time Littler has beaten Price, having knocked him out of the Bahrain Darts Masters the previous week.
Littler was beaten in the final by Michael van Gerwen, who lifted the trophy on home soil in Den Bosch.
Price now turns his focus towards his Premier League Darts campaign, which gets underway at Cardiff’s Utilita Arena on Thursday February 1.
