Markham’s Gerwyn Price will be in action as Premier League Darts returns on Thursday February 1.
Price is among the eight players competing in the competition, which gets underway at Cardiff’s Utilita Arena on February 1.
He will take on Nathan Aspinall in his opening match, with the winner facing either Rob Cross or Peter Wright in the semi-finals.
Two-time World Cup winner Price defeated Aspinall in last year’s Cardiff decider, and the Welsh number one is hoping for a repeat performance on home soil.
“I’m relishing being back here in Cardiff, and hopefully I can get some points on the board early,” said the 2021 World Champion, who topped last year’s league phase.

“I know I’m going to get fantastic support, so I want to give a little bit back to the fans and hopefully go all the way on the night.
“It was great to make the play-offs last year, but I fell short against Michael [van Gerwen] in the final, so hopefully I can turn the tables and pick up that trophy this year.”
The Premier League consists of 16 mini-events held across different cities throughout the season, with each league night comprising quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final over the best of 11 legs.
Points will be awarded each night to form the league table, from which the top four players will progress to the play-offs, which will be held at the O2 in London on Thursday May 23.

Price pulls out of Darts Masters
Price has confirmed he will not be competing at this weekend’s Darts Masters in Milton Keynes due to family reasons.
The Iceman has been replaced in the competition, which is being held between Friday February 2 and Sunday February 4, by Daryl Gurney.
Gurney will enter at the second round stage on Saturday afternoon to face either 2022 Masters winner Joe Cullen or Northern Irish rival Josh Rock.
