Man, 31, taken to hospital as two arrested on suspicion of GBH after alleged stabbing

A 31-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment after an alleged stabbing in Caerphilly.

Police were called to reports of an assault on Lewis Drive, Churchill Park, at around 4.15am on Thursday February 8.

A 39-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. They are both in hospital receiving treatment, Gwent Police confirmed.

The two men are reported to have stab wounds.

Detective Inspector Gavin Torjesen, of Gwent Police, said: “Officers will be making further enquiries at this time and will remain at the scenes as the investigation progresses.”

“It is possible that you may see ongoing police activity in Caerphilly as part of this work. If you have concerns or information then please do stop and talk with us.”
