Gerwyn Price will face Rob Cross in the Premier League Darts Night Five quarter-finals.
Price, from Markham, goes into the event on Thursday February 29 languishing in sixth place in the standings.
Cross meanwhile is in fourth place – which, if the season was to end now, would see him secure a play-off place.
The pair last faced each other in the Night One semi-finals in Cardiff, with Price the victor.
The winner of the tie will face Luke Littler or Michael Smith in the semi-finals.
Ahead of the Night Five meeting in Exeter, Cross said: “I’m here to win. I’m not here to make the numbers up, but at the same time I know I’ve got to improve.
“I’m really good friends with Gezzy. I love his company, but it’s going to be business this week, and I’m looking forward to it.”
