Two years ago, Gerwyn Price made Premier League Darts history when he landed two nine-dart finishes as he clinched victory in Belfast.

On Thursday March 28, Price will be back on the oche in the Northern Irish capital looking to get his 2024 Premier League campaign back on track.

Price, who currently sits second from bottom in this year’s standings, will be looking to build on last week’s performance in Dublin, where he reached the semi-finals after beating Michael van Gerwen.

On Night Nine in Belfast, Price will open up against Nathan Aspinall in the first round, with the winner facing Rob Cross or Peter Wright in the semi-final.

“I’m playing really well, but the standard in this Premier League is so high,” conceded Price, who sits in seventh position, despite boasting the third-highest tournament average.

“Coming back to Belfast is a positive feeling, and if I win the night, I’m only one or two points away from the top four.

“My game is in a good place. I just need that extra 1% in my game when it comes to the doubles and taking shots out.”

Price, from Markham, continued: “The Premier League is a tough school, but there’s still a long way to go, and if I keep playing the way I am, the results are going to change.”

The Premier League consists of 16 mini-events held across different cities throughout the season, with each league night comprising quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final over the best of 11 legs.

Points will be awarded each night to form the league table, from which the top four players will progress to the play-offs, which will be held at the O2 in London on Thursday May 23.
