Gerwyn Price has withdrawn from Premier League Darts Night 14 as he continues to struggle with a back injury.
Price, from Markham, was due to face reigning world champion Luke Humphries in Aberdeen on Thursday May 2.
However, the Iceman – who needed to beat Humphries to stand any chance of reaching the play-offs – has withdrawn, ending his chances of reaching the play-offs.
Price missed the Austrian Darts Open last weekend after suffering a trapped nerve in his back – an issue which is still causing him trouble having undergone treatment last week.
Under tournament rules, Humphries will receive a bye into the semi-finals on Thursday night, as well as gaining two league points and +1 leg difference.
Price, meanwhile, receives -6 leg difference on the league table.
