Gerwyn Price returns to Premier League Darts action on Thursday May 9, having missed last week’s event due to a trapped nerve in his back.
Price, from Markham, was due to face reigning world champion Luke Humphries in Aberdeen last week, but was forced to withdraw – ending his slim hopes of reaching the play-offs for a second consecutive year.
However, he returns to the oche for Night 15 in Leeds, where he faces play-off chasing Michael van Gerwen in the opening round.
The winner of that tie will face either league leader Luke Littler, or bottom-of-the-table Peter Wright in the semi-finals.
The Premier League consists of 16 mini-events held across different cities throughout the season, with each league night comprising quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final over the best of 11 legs.
Points will be awarded each night to form the league table, from which the top four players will progress to the play-offs, which will be held at the O2 in London on Thursday May 23.
