Update: Gwent Police confirmed on Thursday October 31 that Richards has now been found and arrested

A man who was jailed for possessing an offensive weapon has been recalled to prison.

Anthony Richards, 34, from the Caerphilly area, appeared at Newport Magistrates’ Court on August 12, where he was handed a five month and 29 day prison sentence.

He was later released on licence. However, Gwent Police has said Richards has since breached the conditions of his release – and is wanted back behind bars.

The force does not disclose what the licence conditions were, or what conditions have been broken.

Anyone with information on Richards’ whereabouts can contact Gwent Police on 101, or through direct message on social media, quoting log reference 2400339881.

Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
