16,000 visitors came to Bargoed for the town's first-ever May Fair
The first-ever Bargoed May Fair was held in 2023

Bargoed’s annual May Fair event returns this weekend, with a range of stalls, entertainment and funfair rides coming to the town.

The event will be held in the town centre between 9am and 5pm on Saturday May 3.

Replica cars from a range of iconic TV shows and films, including Scooby Doo, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Jurassic Park, Only Fools and Horses and more will be on display at the fair.

There will also be face painting, donkey rides, wildlife displays and children’s craft workshops on the day.

Meanwhile, more than 50 stalls will be set up, selling a range of food, drink, and hand-crafted items.

The event is organised by Caerphilly County Borough Council, and part-funded by Bargoed Town Council and the UK Government through its UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
