Caerphilly Leisure Centre in Virginia Park

A mental health charity is starting up free weekly badminton and walking rugby sessions at Caerphilly Leisure Centre.

Sport in Mind, a charity dedicated to supporting people’s mental health through sport and physical activity, will run its first badminton session on Wednesday May 14 between 12pm and 1pm, while its walking rugby sessions will start on Friday May 23 between 1pm and 2pm.

The walking rugby sessions are in partnership with The Dragons RFC and those who attend the first session will receive free matchday tickets and a stadium tour.

The sessions are completely free and open to anyone aged 17 and over who is experiencing mental health challenges. No referral is needed, and all equipment is provided.
