Nominations are now open for this year’s Sport Caerphilly Awards.
The annual award ceremony recognises the achievements of Caerphilly County Borough’s sportsmen and women, as well as the contributions of clubs, coaches, and volunteers.
Nominations close at 10pm on August 22.
What categories are there?
- Young Volunteer of the Year (Under 18);
- Volunteer of the Year;
- Inclusive Coach of the Year;
- Community Coach of the Year;
- Club of the Year;
- Lifetime Achievement to Sport;
- Community Club of the Year;
- Coach of the Year.
The awards are organised by Sport Caerphilly, which is run by Caerphilly County Borough Council.
The ceremony will be held on Friday November 7 at Bryn Meadows in Maesycwmmer.
Cllr Chris Morgan, council cabinet member for leisure, said: “We want to recognise the passion, dedication and impact of all those who make sport and physical activity thrive in Caerphilly.
“Whether they coach, organise, or volunteer, every contribution matters. Help us celebrate these unsung heroes by submitting your nomination before the deadline.”
