A coffee shop could open in part of a hairdressers’ salon in Ystrad Mynach.

New plans submitted to Caerphilly County Borough Council show Spirit Hair Team has applied for a partial change of use at its Commercial Street premises.

Planning documents indicate the proposed coffee shop or cafe would be located on the ground floor at the front of the premises.

A counter and seating area have been proposed, replacing a part of the current salon.

Designs show a part of the ground floor and first floor would remain as the salon business.

The proposed conversion could result in four extra jobs being created at the premises, documents show.

The application is currently out for consultation, and can be viewed on the Caerphilly County Borough Council website under reference 25/0481/COU.
