Valleys Gymnastics Academy on Croespenmaen Industrial Estate

A gymnastics organisation has applied to extend its base at Croespenmaen Industrial Estate.

The application, by Valleys Gymnastics Academy, proposes moving into the neighbouring unit, which is currently used for industrial purposes.

In planning documents lodged with Caerphilly County Borough Council, the group’s Melissa Anderson said the proposed change of use would “create a community gymnastics training space”.

Four full-time equivalent jobs could be created if the plans are approved, she added.

In her planning application, Ms Anderson said the academy had “consulted our current membership [and] all are fully supportive and understanding that additional space is needed”.

“We have also had discussions with neighbouring businesses and all are supportive,” she said.

The application can be viewed on the Caerphilly County Borough Council website under reference 25/0283/COU.
