The ground floor of Pontllanfraith pub The Plough could be converted for residential use.
Plans submitted to Caerphilly County Borough Council on behalf of applicant John Guest show the conversion would turn the pub into “a single family dwelling” incorporating the existing first-floor flat.
The current bar and seating areas would become a lounge, TV room, and kitchen; while the pub’s toilets would be transformed into a utility room and shower room.
Upstairs, the current three-bedroom flat would remain largely unchanged.
The application is currently under consideration, and can be viewed on the Caerphilly County Borough Council website under reference 25/0783/COU.
