Three new homes could be built on a corner plot of land in Brynawel, new plans show.
The terraced houses and off-street parking area is proposed for land between Duffryn Road and Llanarth Street, which is currently a grass-covered banking.
Each home would be of a largely similar design, featuring a ground-floor kitchen, living room and toilet.
The two end-terrace houses would have three bedrooms upstairs along with a bathroom and one en-suite, while the middle home would have an office instead of a third bedroom.
According to plans submitted by applicant Cappri Holdings Ltd, new trees and hedges would be added to the existing “green wedge” to the west of the development site.
Vehicle access would be from Llanarth Street, and the homes’ front doors would face onto Duffryn Road.
A design statement submitted in support of the application argues the proposed development “turns an underused corner plot into three high-quality, policy-compliant homes that enhance the street, strengthen local green infrastructure and make efficient use of land”.
The application is currently under consideration, and can be viewed on the Caerphilly County Borough Council website under reference 25/0744/FULL.
