A 60-year-old man has been arrested following a police drug raid in Bargoed this morning.
Gwent Police officers raided a property on Baldwin Street on Tuesday June 30, seizing drugs thought to be heroin and cannabis.
“Mobile devices” were also seized in the raid, Gwent Police said.
The man was arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of class B drugs, and possessing class A and C drugs. He remains in police custody, where he will be questioned.
Sgt Tom Brookes, of Gwent Police, said: “Our neighbourhood team has successfully removed class A drugs from the streets and detained a man we believe responsible for supplying illegal drugs in the borough.
“Every piece of evidence the public is able to provide, no matter how small you believe it to be, can play a huge role in helping us build a picture of offending, and identify those responsible for harming our communities.”
