Coleg Gwent students helped to collect 20 bags of rubbish from a Welsh beach when they took part in a clean with Keep Wales Tidy.

The Business and Welsh Baccalaureate students, based at Coleg Gwent’s Crosskeys campus, visited Ogmore Beach with the organisation and tidied up the popular area.

Tutor Joanne Mulcahy said: “It’s a beautiful beach which students worked hard to clear from litter. They collected approximately 20 bags of rubbish from the beach, which even included larger items such as a rusty ironing board, tyres and plastic road blocks.

“The group were thanked by Keep Wales Tidy and felt proud to be doing their part to keep Wales clean.”
