Residents are being encouraged to share their views on Welsh Water at a public meeting called by an industry watchdog.

The Consumer Council for Water Wales Committee is inviting members of the public to its next meeting at the Japan Room, Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff at 10am on Tuesday July 12.

The committee will be looking at how water companies perform to deliver good and reliable services and how they deal with customers’ complaints.

Water quality and the price of water bills will also be discussed.

Diane McCrea, Chair of the Wales Committee of the Consumer Council for Water, said: “We know that the quality of drinking water is very important to consumers in Wales and want to hear what companies do to ensure tap water in Wales achieves and remains the very best quality. During the meeting we will discuss water companies’ performance of drinking water quality standards over the past year.”

The meeting will run from 10 am to 2.10pm on Tuesday July 12 in the Japan Room, Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff Bay, CF10 5AL. Consumer issues from the floor will be discussed at the beginning of the meeting.

Customers who would prefer to speak in Welsh are encouraged to do so, but should let organisers know beforehand.

To confirm attendance please call the Consumer Council for Water Wales office on 0292 023 9852.
