Residents of Gelligaer can get in shape thanks to two new fitness classes being run in Neuadd St Catwg Community Hall.

Funded by the Sports Council for Wales, the fitness classes are:

A Circuits Class on Tuesday evenings from 7.15pm to 8.15pm. Each session is suitable for all ages and abilities, with exercise stations offering different activities depending on your fitness level.

Each session is £2.50 per person.

The second class is for the over 50s and takes place on Wednesdays between 1.15pm and 2.15pm.

The exercise class includes elements of circuits and chair aerobic activity, suitable for older members of the community. This also costs £2.50 each session.

Neuadd St Catwg Community Hall, located in Church Road, behind the Harp Pub in Gelligaer, has recently undergone renovation work thanks to a £300,000 grant from the Welsh Government’s Community Facilities Activities Programme (CFAP), a £30,000 Key Fund grant and £1,500 from the Welsh Church Fund.
