Caerphilly’s Conservative Assembly candidate Owen Meredith is holding a public meeting on Thursday.
In the first of three planned meetings, Mr Meredith will be taking questions at Rudry Parish Hall from 7pm.
Commenting on his decision to hold public meetings in the run up to the Assembly elections, Mr Meredith said: “I want people to engage with these elections and come forward with their views – politics shouldn’t be a one-way street of information.
“I want to listen to people’s views and work together to find the solutions to local problems. By holding these meetings it gives people a real opportunity to make their voices heard and ensure that the issues they care about are at the top of the political agenda.”
He added: “There is a real choice in this election – a change to make a positive change for Caerphilly. Please come along to raise your concerns, asks questions and meet your candidate.”
The meeting is open to anyone living in the Caerphilly constituency. To register your interest in attending, email caerphilly@owenmeredith.co.uk or call 07816 156925 – registration is advisable, but not essential.
Mr Meredith will be battling against Plaid Cymru’s Ron Davies and Labour’s incumbent AM Jeff Cuthbert.
