Be a pro for a day at Glamorgan Cricket Club

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 13:00, Thursday August 11th, 2011.

Budding young cricket stars are being given the chance to experience the life of a professional cricketer for a day in Wales.

Thirty cricket fans, aged eight to 16, will win a Be a Pro Day with Glamorgan Cricket Club at the Swalec Stadium in Cardiff, thanks to club sponsors Principality Building Society.

The cricket experience to take place on Thursday, September 1, includes a tour of the stadium, meet-and-greet with a Glamorgan star, changing in the team dressing room for a professional warm-up and coaching session on the pitch, lunch in the players’ dining room and the chance to play a match in front of the grandstands.

Entry details can be found in all 52 Principality Building Society branches in Wales, or at www.principality.co.uk/JuniorISA

James Wright, Marketing Director at Principality said: “As a committed supporter of grass roots sport across Wales, Principality is delighted to be offering this once in a lifetime opportunity for 30 young cricket fans to emulate the stars of Glamorgan Cricket by playing at the home of Welsh cricket, the Swalec Stadium.”
